Plot[]

Set centuries before Aang's awakening, Avatar Ku Tei's days are gone, the effects of the Thirty Year War still echo fifty-nine years after it's end. The Earth Kingdom territories return to a cold civil war while the cycle continues on to the Fire Nation as the Avatar reincarnates into a little boy in a mining village.

The new Avatar named Rong Yan, learns that he's the Avatar at the age 16 and starts his Avatar journey to master the other three elements in order Air, Water, and Earth. All awhile an old enemy of his predecessor escapes prison seeking revenge on the Avatar.

The war ended peacefully but that wasn't enough for the malevolent factions involved in the war. With the territories clashing from time to time with one another they hope in pulling the strings and plunging the Kingdom of Ba Sing Se into the throes of war against the Northern Water Tribe. Rong Yan has to manage to master the four elements while avoiding Senlin and prevent the embers of war from spreading across the kingdoms.

Aloi (Uh Loy) - Rong Yan's new friend, who practices airbending with him, and teaches him soundbending. The new airbender in the group replacing Monk Yong Ten.

Chief Unirak, of the Southern Water Tribe (Oo knee rack) - The chief of the Southern Water Tribe, a middle aged chief. A highly skilled warrior and huntsman, wielding a whale's tooth as a blade kept by the left side of his waist, on hunting trips he carries a quiver and bow on his back. Has two children, Tanaraq, a waterbender, and Unaraq, a young fisherman and warrior.

Yi Wu Shi, Ship Surgeon (Yee Wu Shi) - Sao Feng's ship surgeon, the healer of the pirate crew he was assigned to. A waterbender of both Earth Kingdom and Southern Water Tribe descent.

Beiyin (Bay Yin) - The shady man the gang met who has connections with the Royal Guard.

Cha Lundu, Governor of Wuyi (Cha Lon Doo) - Governor of Wuyi residing in Dahongpao, her province is the biggest tea export state in the world. Many daofei and Fifth Nation live in her capital city.

Chi-Fu the Historian (Chi Foo) - The historian at Taku's annual Thirty Year War Day festival.

Cuzhuang (Coo Jahng) - Avatar Anana's earthbending teacher.

First Mate Da Fu (Da Foo) - The first mate of the ship that Sao Feng owns.

Captain Duizhang (Doo Ee Jahng) - The dockmaster and captain of an unknown ship within Han Tui; personal friend of Pigu and his grandfather.

39th Earth King Yao † (Yow) - The second ruling Earth King during Kwan Chun's life time/first ruler in Anana's lifetime.

40th Earth King Wang † (Wong) - The second ruler of the Earth Kingdom during Anana's lifetime.

41st Earth King Ta Po † (Tah Po) - The 41st Earth King ruling from the great city of Ba Sing Se. Known to be a really strong earthbender for his old age. Has elite earthbenders guarding his palace.

42nd Earth King Qiang Zhen (Chi Ahn Jen) - The 42nd Earth King, Ta Po's grandson who takes his place. Also an earthbender.

Baotong † (Bow Tong) - Crowned Prince Baotong who was assassinated by Kimaru.

Baotu the Crime Boss (Bow Too) - Ba Sing Se's notorious crime boss, who assists Senlin in starting a new life, undercover.

Buxiu † (Boo Shee Oo) - The prisoner responsible for passing the ability of longevity to Senlin while in prison.

Ching Haijun, Governor of Hailiu (Ching High Joon) - Governor of Hailiu residing in Shuicheng, her province is famous for the most powerful naval fleet under Qiang Zhen's control. A descendant of the first Earth Queen of the Haijun Dynasty who ruled the Kingdom of Ba Sing Se a thousand years ago.

Chouqi (Chow Chi) - Mother of the missing girl.

Chunjie De (Choon Jee Uh Duh) - Lord De's missing daughter.

Ambassador Dashi (Da Shee) - Ambassador of the Qiangda Kingdom resides in Aupaluk.

Dimian, Captain of Terra Team #3 † (Dee Mian) - Captain of Terra Team #3, failed to hunt down Senlin but finds him in the invasion of Shouchun three years later.

Dufan the Fencer (Doo Fan) - The drug dealing fence of the Hei Shichang gang, and the Dixia gang.

Guanfu He (Wahn Foo Huh) - The widower of Lianhua, later to be revealed by Palartok as the Butcher.

Jian Po † (Jee En Po) - Fanzui de laoban of a month old triad desiring to fill in the shoes of the Mousha Quan.

Jingshen de Tou, Governor of Kunlun (Jing Shen duh Too) - Governor of Kunlun residing in Kunlun City, his province offers obsidian to the Qiangda Kingdom. The pious cult of the Wang-Mu warriors come from the Kunlun Mountains.

Kongbu Jingcha, Governor of Zhong Tai (Kong Boo Jing Cha) - Governor of Zhong Tai dedicated to locating the missing maidens and children kidnapped by a nomadic cult.

General "Lucky" Laobing (Lao Bing) - "Lucky" Laobing is Captain Wei's grandfather, as mentioned by General Senlin. Now a General in the Council of Five; replaces General Tsuyo-sa.

General Laojiang † (Lao Jee Ang) - Leader of the Council of Five during half of Ku Tei's life time. Senlin's mentor before Senlin poisoned him.

Captain Laozhang (Lao Zhahng) - New Captain of the Qiangdian Royal Guard, follows King Qiang Zhen around.

Lianhua Hu † (Lee Ehn Hwa Hoo) - The daughter of Magistrate Tian'e Hu from Poyang who was slain, survived by her widower Guanfu.

Ling-Ling (Ling Ling) - Ling-Ling is the woman who brings Senlin in when he passes out on in front of the village he stays at.

Meiren (May Ren) - The matchmaker who matches people of the Middle and Upper Rings for potential marriages.

Mu'ai † (Moo Aye) - Sunhuai's wife and mother of Qingbai.

Qian Zei (Chi Ahn Zay) - The financial man within the Dixia gang, running numbers for the gang's finances, rescued by Senlin, and Haoke.

Rari (Ra Ree) - The rallier that helped Anana create the protests to dethrone the 39th Earth King.

Shang Jin (Sh Ang Jin) - Shang Jin a bounty hunter on search of General Senlin; sent by Earth King Qiang Zhen.

Shenshi Danxin † (Shao Noo) - Yi'an's sister who was kidnapped from Shenshi's summer home.

Sunhuai (Sun Hoo Ee) - The founder of the new gang triad called the Yapo, who rule the most of the territory that the Mousha Quan lost.

Yali Dian (Yah Lee Dee Ehn) - A low-class noble that teaches Unaraq the basics of chi-blocking.

Colonel Yansu † (Yahn Soo) - Colonel commanding a legion of soldiers in Fort Shengqi.

Yi'an Zhang-Qiangda (Yee Ahn Jahng) - Daughter of Zhang Youlang, consort of Earth King Qiang Zhen.

"Shady" Ying Xiao (Shay Dee Ying Shy Oh) - The leader of the Hei Shichang gang.

Youlang Zhang (Yoh Lahng Jahng) - Government official formerly in the Qiangda Censorate who oversees the functions of the outer states' governors that surround the heart of the Kingdom. Becomes the Minister of Territorial Intelligence.

Giman (Gee Man) - One of the last remaining Vibrant Ones. Also a master in the Deception tree of Soundbending.

Jampo (Jam Po) - One of the monks, that Monk Senge introduces Avatar Rong Yan to. They both become friends.

Jangju (Jahn Joo) - The Air Nomad farmer, at the Jongmu Air Temple aka Southern Air Temple.

Jigme (Jig Me) - Wanted Air Nomad mugger, in Jiangsu Village.

Subprior Shang Xi (Shang Shee) - One of the older monks of the Southern Air Temple, who serves as one of the high monks of the Council of Elders.

Subprior Shaohao (Sh Ow How) - One of the older monks of the Southern Air Temple, who serves as one of the high monks of the Council of Elders.

Mother Superior Halmeoni (Hal Me On Ee) - The leader of the Eastern Council of Elders, one of the other high nuns mentions that Halmeoni, had a crush on Avatar Ku Tei.

Prioress Vakta (Vak Tuh) - The high nun at the Eastern Air Temple, along with Halmeoni, and Yuva. She is known for gossip.

Subprioress Yuva (Yu Va) - The youngest high nun of the Eastern Council of Elders.

Hwa (Wa) - Hwa was Avatar Anana's airbending teacher in the Eastern Air Temple.

Mi Soo (Me Soo) - The girl that was hanging out with Jampo.

Nirvaasan (Neer Vuh Sahn) - Exiled Air Nomad from the Baiyan Air Temple, too squeamish for murder but wants to be bad.

Hegumen R'Kang (Ruh Kang) - The Hegumen of the Baiyan Air Temple, a part of the Northern Council of Elders. The Northern Air Temple becomes the demilitarized zone between the Qiangda Kingdom and the Northern Water Tribe.

Senge (Sen Gee) - One of the monks that Rong Yan meets, Senge becomes his best friend while his stay in the Southern Air Temple.

Subprior Tenzin (Ten Zin) - Former History professor at the Ba Sing Se University, new subprior of the Baiyan Air Temple replacing Agu.

Yeoja (Yee Oh Ja) - The girl that was hanging around with Senge.

Baojun Yan (Bao Joon Yen) - The 'eyes and ears' of Earth King Yao, the secret police usually dealing with the dismantling of any opposition to Yao and Shahuang, heir to the Qiangda throne.

Council of Elders (Cown Sul of El Ders) - Five chosen monks or nuns to lead the Northern, Eastern, Southern, and Western Air Temples.

Council of Five (Cown Sul of Five) - The Council of Five, generals who are under the command of the Earth King.

Court of Elders (Cort of El Ders) - The Court of Elders, nobles under the Northern or Southern Chief.

Dixia Triad (Die Sh Uh) - The Dixia gang, ran by Baotu, who call the Southeastern Lower Ring home, allied with the Hei Shichang gang.

Hei Shichang Triad (Hey Sh Ick Aang) - The gang that deals with drugs, and fencing items, who call the heart of the Southern Lower Ring home, allied with the Dixia gang.

Mousha Quan Triad (Mo Shuh Kwan) - The gang of assassins in Northern Lower Ring, Ba Sing Se. Enemies of the Dixia and the Hei Shichang gang.

Northern Rebellion - The Northern Rebellion who wants to plunge the Earth Kingdom back into war with them.

Order of the Shadowed Hand (Or Der of the Sha Dohed Hand) - An assassin's order loyal to the Qiangdian royals established during the reign of Avanindra. Assassinations are legal, and done for political reasons.

Siwang Yaoqing Triad (See Wahng Yao Ching) - Another a small group trying to fill in the shoes of the Mousha Quan. Amateur assassins based in northern Dixia territory.

Terra Team - The Terra Team is comprised of elite master earthbenders that can handle any situation for the Qiangdian military.

Triumvirate of War - The Oma Kingdom's military Triumvirate that dedicates their time to the war effort. The group is comprised of three of the top high-ranking generals. Now for the first time in a thousand years led by a commander.

Unaraq's crew - A group of Southern Water Tribe fishermen, warriors and boat crew.

Utsah's Bandits - Utsah, the Bandit King's bandit gang.

Vibrant Ones - Secret order of soundbenders established millennia before Rong Yan's life. The founder lived the remainder of her years without using her sight.

Yapo Triad (Yah Po) - The Yapo gang was assembled after the Period of Silence had occurred after Qiang Zhen's coronation where he ruled his first six months with a swift hand to lower the crime rates. Greatly affecting the Lower Ring, as the guards there had treated the citizens there poorly.

Avatar Arrluk † (Are Luck) - The Avatar before Avatar Xi Tong; The Water Tribe Avatar before Avatar Anana. Born into the Southern Water Tribe like Anana, in the social class of poverty. Famous for creating the sport of surfing.

Avatar Mun Jin † (Mun Jin) - The Avatar before Avatar Arrluk; The Air Nomad Avatar before Avatar Kwan Chun. Born into the Baiyan Air Temple, and being exiled before he could master airbending. Famous for ending a threat from the Spirit World and mastering every subskill known to man. Became the Saint of Bending Knowledge upon death.

Avatar Kaenakai † (Kane Uh Kai) - The Avatar before Avatar Mun Jin; The Fire Nation Avatar before Avatar Ilah. Famous for eradicating the corruption of bloodlines of all Fire Nationalist clans.

Avatar Bhudev † (Boo Dev) - The Avatar before Avatar Kaenakai; The Earth Kingdom Avatar before Avatar Xi Tong. Famous for preventing a tsunami from taking Tuxi Cun and Huang He. And from cleansing the Si Wong province of the Isoro, leaving behind only four tribes.

Fifth Nation Raids Iqaluit - Fifth Nation raids of the South Pole, resulting in Unaraq and Tanaraq's mother's death, failing to take over Iqaluit but successfully taking Kauk Island.

Retaking Hi Sho Village - The battle between Utsah's bandits, and the Mayor of Hi Sho Village.

General Senlin's Escape/The Assassination of Earth King Ta Po - The escape of General Senlin, and the assassination of the 41st Earth King.

The Assassination of Shan-Yu of the Mousha Quan - The assassination of the Mousha Quan gang leader, Shan-Yu.

Coronation of the 42nd Earth King - The coronation of Ta Po's grandson, Qiang Zhen.

The Siege of Fort Zhezhong - The siege of Fort Zhezhong, the Kingsmen were caught by surprise by Tribesmen bombardiers that initiated the siege while the fort alarms remained silent for the start of the battle. A decisive Tribesmen victory.

The Destruction of Yumen - The destruction of the city of Yumen, Rong Yan in an uncontrollable rage within the Avatar State destroys two battalions of men and the city of Yumen when they try to execute Unaraq. Years later it is left and never rebuilt, as the earth is unstable in the area.

The Battle of Shouchun - The battle for the city of Shouchun in Chu province, between the Qiangda Kingdom and Oma Kingdom.

Kingsmen-Tribesmen Ceasefire - The negotiations and peace treaty to end the war and help Ba Sing Se defeat Senlin's forces.

Battle for Ba Sing Se Harbor - Fifth Nation fleets and the Northern Rebellion attack the harbor of the capital of the Qiangda Kingdom.

Siege of Ba Sing Se - Senlin's field army attacks the Outer Wall of Ba Sing Se.

  • The Misadventures of Hui and Okhin - A spin-off mini-series following Prince Hui and Okhin, a female barbarian from the Chono clan, on their misadventures across the Oma Kingdom.
  • A Lotus in the Snow (Valentine's Day Special) - A one-shot that involves the lives of Unaraq and Aloi when they finally return to Iqaluit after the defeat of Commander Senlin.
