Book Three: Fire

The Legend of Korra

Avatar: The Last Airbender: Book 4: Energy is the planned upcoming sequel to Book 3. It takes place three years after the defeat of the Fire Lord and the end of the century-long war. It is to be made by user Deanurai as his premiere fanon.

Three years. It has been three years since the epic battle between Avatar Aang and Fire Lord Ozai sent the latter to prison without his abilities, along with his daughter and mentally broken-down accomplice, Azula. Aang and Katara are living in the Southern Water Tribe with Sokka, Momo, and Appa. Toph is now Bumi's personal bodyguard. Zuko and Mai are the Fire Lord and Lady, ruling over the Fire Nation peacefully. Suki still lives on Kyoshi Island with the Warriors, advancing in her training. Iroh is managing the Jasmine Dragon in Ba Sing Se.

One day, Azula manages to escape from her imprisonment, given instructions from her father to simply "get back his power". She takes this as an order to hunt down the Avatar and force him to heal Ozai. She begins to hunt down Aang with a group of rebellious benders from the Earth Kingdom, some Water Tribes and the Fire Nation, while he himself is trying to find her with his group of Waterbenders from the Northern Tribe.

Avatar Aang- Biologically 15 now, Aang lives peacefully in the Southern Water Tribe with some of his allies from his previous adventures, including Katara, his love interest, and her brother Sokka.

Katara- Now 17 and living back in the tribe with her people, love interest Aang, sky bison Appa, and winged-lemur Momo, Katara has been a teacher to young Water Tribe students.

Sokka- At 18-years-old, Sokka now constructs weaponry and trains young Water Tribe warriors, skeptic about another possible battle with the Fire Nation.

Appa- At the age of 109, the sky bison Appa is residing in the Southern Water Tribe with Aang, Katara, Sokka, Momo, and the rest of the Tribe.

Momo- The winged-lemur with a mysterious past given the name "Momo" by Aang is currently living in the Southern Water Tribe.

Toph Bei Fong- Now the 15-year-old bodyguard to the King of Omashu, Bumi, Toph has vastly advanced her Earthbending skills to the point of forming hills in one swift move.

King Bumi- The 116-year-old King of Omashu has been returned to the throne after the defeat of Ozai and he has hired Toph as his bodyguard as he believes that, due to his poor defense against the Fire Lord, an assassination will soon be upon him.

Tanah- Bumi's 23-year-old grandson Tanah has been training his Earthbending abilities for the past fifteen years. He now awaits his time to become the King of Omashu.

Suki- The 18-year-old Kyoshi Warrior and long-distance love interest of Sokka on Kyoshi Island is training for a secret invasion that not even she has been given more than a two word explanation of: "dangerous" and "deadly".

Fire Lord Zuko- Now the 19-year-old Fire Lord, Zuko has gained marital status with Mai and with his sister having escaped from prison, he is under much stress.

Fire Lady Mai- 18-year-old Mai is the new Fire Lady, Zuko her husband. Her negative ways have led to some question from the citizens as to the future of the Fire Nation.

Iroh- The 67-year-old owner of the Jasmine Dragon tea shop joins Team Avatar when he hears about Azula's escape from the Boiling Rock.

Azula- After escaping from the Boiling Rock prison at the age of 17, Azula is out to find the Avatar like her father had told her and somehow get his abilities back.

Ex-Fire Lord Ozai- The 47-year-old convict at the Boiling Rock still awaits there for the daughter that he sent to get back his powers to return.
