Plot[]

It is twenty-six years after the fall of the Phoenix King and the end of the Hundred-Year War. The United Republic has been founded after the tumultuous times of the Harmony Restoration Movement. The capital of the new nation, Republic City, has been built by members of all four nations, and its building was presided over directly by Avatar Aang. Fire Lord Zuko has turned over all suspected war criminals, including the commanders of the Southern Raiders and most of Ozai's war council to the United Republic to face justice for the crimes committed in the war. However, discontent among the different nations and within each nation is rising, and the Avatar and his friends is the only thing standing in between these forces and the destruction of the peace they have worked so desperately to achieve.

Characters[]

Aang - The current Avatar and husband of Katara, he is dedicated to the growth of Republic City and will stop at nothing to protect it. He dwells semi-permanently in his home on Air Temple Island with his wife and three children: Kya, Bumi, and Tenzin.

Katara - The wife of Aang and a powerful waterbender, Katara moves in between the Southern Water Tribe and Air Temple Island. She is training her eldest daughter, Kya, in the art of waterbending, while trying to help Aang overcome the challenges of protecting the world. She is a loving, caring mother who is fiercely protective of her children and husband.

Sokka - Councilman from the Southern Water Tribe, Sokka is a fun-loving, sarcastic man who is trying to help Aang fulfill his vision of peace and balance in the post-war world. He has modernized the Earth Kingdom and Water Tribe militaries, and pushed for the creation of the United Forces. He is married to Suki and has two children: Hakoda and Yue.

Zuko - Married to Mai and Fire Lord to a struggling nation, he has overcome many challenges to his rule in the past decades. He still visits and seeks counsel from his good friend Avatar Aang. He has married Mai and has three children: Ursa, Roku, and Lu Ten. Now, he must overcome enemies that threaten his tenuous hold on the throne and the barely preserved peace.

Toph - After teaching metalbending to various students, she created the police force of Republic City, made up of elite metalbenders determined to keep the peace. Along with Aang, she supervised the initial construction and expansion of the city. She has married a man named Lee and has one child: Lin, a six-year old earthbender and a good friend of Tenzin.

General Kuruk - Named after the last Water Tribe Avatar, General Kuruk is the leader of the United Forces and a staunch defender of Republic City. One of the many veterans of the Hundred Year War, he later offered his services to the burgeoning country. He is loyal to the Avatar and the United Republic, dedicating the rest of his life to serving the cause of peace. He disagrees with Aang on matters of military importance, and is supported by Sokka, who helped him to get the United Forces up and running.
