Plot
Avatar: Before the Legends is a fanon series by RuleroftheBisons97. The fanon aims to tell the tale of each member of Team Avatar before the start of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Each story will have 26 chapters followed by an epilogue that connects the story together. The first story, Aang: Story of an Airbender is currently the only story in production. The fanon began January 19th, 2012 and, so far, only 14 chapters have been released.
Aang: Story of an Airbender

Aang discovers he's the Avatar and is instructed by the Southern Council of Elders to head off in a journey around the world in an attempt to locate missing airbenders. There, he encounters many problems like a black market run by the Yamiichiba Hunters in the Fire Nation and a conspiracy in Omashu. However, things are more chaotic back at the Southern Air Temple where secrets lie beneath the seemingly peaceful culture. Now, with his best friends, Mia and Appa, Aang attempts to uncover the truths while facing against his rival, Aka, who wants to be the Avatar. But the most dangerous thing of all is the lurking of a traitor within the temple walls.

Katara & Sokka: Tales From the Water Tribe

Following their mother's death and father's absence, Katara and Sokka assume the responsibility of taking care of their village in the Southern Water Tribe. However, with unexpected happenings such as a shortage of food and increase of crime, the challenge of running the tribe proves harder than expected. But the two soon get in the trouble of their lives when a civil war is decreed because of one of their fights. Can these two stop the civil war or is the Southern Water Tribe doomed to destruction?

Suki: Legend of the Kyoshi Warrior

Suki has always admired Kyoshi and her warriors. Now, she gets the chance of a lifetime and begins her training. However, when Kyoshi Island is faced with an impending threat from the Fire Nation and the Earth Kingdom, only one warrior can stop them. Joined by her friends, can Suki discover the Secrets of Avatar Kyoshi and save Kyoshi Island?

Toph: Rise of the Blind Bandit

The Beifong family is the richest across the land. They live a peace and quiet life except for one. Toph Beifong, self-proclaimed Greatest Earthbender in the World, lives a double life. The spoiled pampered life her parents want her to have and the earthbending tournament one she loves. Can Toph keep up this persona or be doomed to live the life her parents want her to have?

Zuko: Life of a Banished Prince

Stripped of his prince title and banished from the Fire Nation, Zuko is on the hunt to capture the Avatar. He travels the land attempting to please his father. Joined by his Uncle Iroh, can Zuko find the Avatar or is he doomed to forever be a banished prince?
