The Armed Forces of the Water Tribes are the respective armies, navies, and Air Forces of the two tribes.
Army of the Water Tribe
The Army of the Water Tribe is the standing land army of the Water Tribes. They serve has the main line of defense for both tribes, after the navies. They are usually camped near their cities, in tents. Most major cities in the tribes have armories, and barracks for the soldiers. They have shown themselves to be quite formidable, holding off warriors for days. [1] They have around 7-8,000 serviceman in total.
The Naval Forces of the Water Tribe are the navy of the Water Tribes. The navies are key parts of their respective tribes, because the tribes live in the poles surrounded by water. For the most part the ships are small cutters, used for quick travel from island to island. They employ 5,000 serviceman with 100 ships.
Air Force of the Water Tribe
The Air Force of the Water Tribe is the main air-based defense of the Water Tribes. They are not used often, and are mostly used for transportation. However, they are quite capable in military operations. The Air Force employs 1,000 men and several war balloons and air ships.
