In this story, we follow the last Avatar Kako Owari. Set 10,000 years after Korra's legendary life. The world, or rather worlds, are a very different place in this era. The solar system has been thoroughly colonized by spirit-human hybrids, enjoying an unprecedented era of peace. Unfortunately, the potential for destruction should this peace be broken is equally unprecedented.

This is the burden that faces the Avatar of this era as she learns about the looming Harmonic Convergence. She doesn't even understand her own role in these rapidly changing times, much less how to resolve an ancient spirit war. Worse yet, this time, a battle is raging inside of her. If she doesn't find balance, then she, the Avatar Cycle, and everything humans and spirits have built together will all be destroyed. But can this be avoided even if she prevails, find out in her account of her journey.

Fifteen years after Avatar Korra's death, Zhidao's Red Lotus has seized control of much of the world. The United Republic of Nations, Northern Water Tribe and Earth Kingdom were all conquered, and very few know what happened to the Southern Water Tribe. Only the Fire Nation remains independent. Under Fire Lord Izumi's leadership, they have become a safe haven for all those lucky enough to escape the Red Lotus's clutches. But even the Fire Nation is not invincible. Izumi knows that it is only a matter of time before Zhidao crushes her homeland, and that is why she has searched relentlessly for a way to stop him. And she believes she has found it. But Zhidao doesn't just have enemies in the Fire Nation. It seems that those closest to him also want him dead.
