A Cat Owl

The Cat Owl has the head and tail of a cat, and the wings and body of an owl. Its head, torso and claws are covered in fur, which is dark slate gray on its dorsal parts, and creamy white on its ventral parts. The feathers of its wings and tail are also dark slate-gray. Its eyes are green. The Cat Owl lives in both the Earth Kingdom and Fire Nation, primarily in the forests, and also has been seen for sell in a Ba Sing Se pet shop.

The Cat Owl is first seen in "City of Walls and Secrets".

Its body's coloration as well as facial appearance create an image of a Great Horned Owl. Coincidentally, the real-life Great Horned Owl is sometimes nicknamed the "Cat Owl". The Cat Owl has a tail, also furred, that is feline.
