Title says it all. If you were in charge of the first two books of LOK, what would you have done differently?

Okay so back to the topic, I wanna see Avatar in the modern world!!! I wonder how that would affect bending
Weve seen bending in the 1700s-1800s
Bending in the 1900s - industrial
Now bending the 21st century - age of info
THEN bending with futuristic stuff
Then like someone said up above alien invasion!!!!
Then we get to see aliens bend!
Yeah, but in the modern era, it would just be benders going to college and having fights that end with a tragic death that gets shown on the news and then the government saying "that's really sad, but we're not going to change any laws to take weapons out of the hands of people who clearly shouldn't be using them"
Everyone will just compare the people advocating for weapons control to Amon or Kuvira, & when an actual Kuvira figure emerges in their party, they won't listen.
SJWs in the Avatar World
I can already see the Bending privilege
Non benders triggered by bending
Non benders oppress and want the Avatar to give them powers
Or another Amon taking peoples bending away for equality
A little similar to season 1 but everyone is triggered
Legend of Korra but everyone is triggered with distortion affect XD
The biggest irony of this sudden deluge of right wing propaganda is that you already did see bending privilege & bender oppression of nonbenders. The Council outright passed a law targeting nonbenders, & then power was selectively shut off to a primarily nonbending district (during winter) so the police could round people up to support a bogus "New law already stopping Equalists!" narrative.
A more accurate analogy would be nonbenders pointing out that many problems still persist & being called something disparaging like "Bending Justice Warriors," written off with various rationalizations including:
1. It was just Tarrlok, & Tarrlok is gone now, so all of the problems are solved. Disregard that Tarrlok couldn't have done what he did without the compliance of most of the Council, the police, & the power company serving the Dragon Flats, at bare minimum.
2. Amon was a terrorist, therefore their arguments are all invalid, & maybe Tarrlok was even right the whole time.
3. Sure, Tarrlok was wrong in the past, but that's different, now nonbenders have gone too far & need to be stopped to save society, & this is totally different from what Tarrlok said.
Oh, & like I've said before, Mike & Bryan would be what many would consider "SJWs." Something they were practically accused of when they confirmed Korrasami. Though at least those people actually saw the very obvious political implications of the story, something I can't always say for this fandom.

Huh. I thought you were a better person than that.
