First New Image from Legend of Korra Book 3

Just in time for the holidays, co-creator Bryan Konietzko treated fans to an early Christmas present: a first look at The Legend of Korra Book 3!

Konietzko showed this picture of Lin Beifong to fans on his Tumblr and wrote “As promised, [Book 3] features a lot more Lin Beifong than Book 2,” he writes, “So I thought I’d share a cool screen shot of her.” No other context was given to this picture, but we're excited to see more of Lin in the next season! What else are you looking forward to seeing, Korranation?

Transcript: The Legend of Aang: The Siege of the North (movie)

This is a rough script for the second film: "The Legend of Aang: The Siege of the North"

This is entirely made from transcripts from:

  • The Storm
  • The Blue Spirit
  • The Waterbending Master
  • The Siege of the North Part 1
  • The Siege of the North Part 2

Note: The whole transcripts have been taken from the various episode transcripts as published on this wiki. Scenes have been altered to shorten time and new ones have been added to merge the episodes together, but the following is largely taken from the works of the editors of the transcript pages. Without their contribution to the wiki, this would not have been possible with this amount of detailing. So to all who edited the transcripts of this wiki. Thank you. AdamantiumBladez.

Is Bending Genetic? An FAQ.

Q: This page looks different, did you change something?

Okay, nobody asked me this, but obviously I should say something if I change things. I decided to add a bit to my explanation of the definition of genetics, emphasize the parts of the quotes where the specific term "genetics" is used & clarify the context, & to included updated information on the Lion Turtles & Harmonic Convergence, since I still keep citing this blog. (3/22/16)

Q: What is this page about?

A: The argument over whether or not Bending is "caused by genetics" has happened so many times on this Wiki that I'm sure people get sick of repeating the same points over & over again. So I decided to create a blog that explains the relevant details, with citations, so that it can alw…

The problem with the Avatar

The Avatar is supposed to be a being who brings balance to the spiritual and physical world, correct? Well, how exactly is the Avatar going to bring true balance to the world if the Avatar isn't balanced itself ("it" because it can be male or female)? Balance = just that, "balance" – neither good or evil... Do you see where I'm going with this? Yes... the Avatar is only comprised of the "good" spirit of the Avatarverse: Raava. To bring true balance and tranquility to the world, the Avatar has to be balanced morally as well, not just good, but evil as well, thus making it a "true" being of balance. In a nutshell: for the Avatar to be able to bring true balance to the world when a shift in balance occurs, it has to be a being comprised of no…

Why Bryke Should Make Korrasami Canon

Now, from the title of the blog I bet several people have likely already taken active interest to not click. However, (hopefully) what I'm going to try and do is attempt to make a rational argument as to why pushing the show in this direction would be a good move. Not necessarily based on canon evidence for the ship (as there, regrettably, is little to none), but based on why I personally feel it would be a good route to take the show onto.

  • 1 1. LGBTQIA representation
  • 2 2. Shipping Wars
  • 3 3. Character Development
  • 4 4. Feminism
  • 5 Conclusion

This one I feel is a big reason for pushing to make the relationship occur. First of all, it's about time. This is an era where gay rights is becoming a very large and active discussion throughout the United States…

Why no activity, jtwin1?

You're all probably wondering why I haven't been posting chapters around the place for my fanon. Well, unfortunately, the holiday season has proven to be quite busy, what with organising family holidays, music festivals with friends, working extra hours to afford aforementioned festival, and then trying to see as much of friends before afore-aforementioned family holiday. There just hasn't been much time write.

Also, the lack of university (and maybe the increasingly hot weather) has made me sluggish. When there was uni work to be done, there was something to procastinate over, which led me to write my story. When uni was on, I'd get up early, do some exercise, and get on with my day, coming home, probably with some homework, and sitting do…

Fanon Review: Avatar: Rise of the Shadowbenders

Hey, guys! This is a fanon review of Avatar: Rise of the Shadowbenders. This discontinued series is about the world of avatar 500 years in the future. It follows many characters around the world, but most specifically the newest avatar, Meiya of the Eastern Air Temple.

My review has a set rubric. The context (grammar) is 10% of the grade, the Plot is 65%, and the Impact (characters, setting) is worth 25% of the whole grade. At the end of each section their are several grades which represent as follows:

Grade: amount of accumulated points/ amount of possible points -> percentage (percentage out of section percentage) letter grade

Example (section-plot): 65/70-> 93% [60.3% (out of the possible 65 percentage points from the plot section) ] A

Realistic Film Adaptation of Avatar: the Last Airbender

Having watched "The Last Airbender" recently, I noticed how badly organised the storyline was. I have been aware how many bad reviews people have given it and that dissuaded me from watching it. However since I am making this; I feel that I have to understand just how badly they messed up the film.

I can say that a lot of things were bad:

  • The Plot: I acknowledge that they were trying to jam in 20 episodes into a single movie, and I believe that was the main problem. The story is just so rich that it needs a lot of those episodes. You simply cannot rush progression; you need to put the time and effort into building up these characters and the plot so that people care about it.
  • The Dialogue: There was too much information given without using a …

Does the Mother of Faces take genetics into account?

The Mother of Faces said that she had made faces since the beginning of time. I wondered if she had made all faces, since she was able to give them to any organism or object. My big question, which I started a thread about (http://avatar.wikia.com/wiki/Thread:1207592) , was if she made all human faces as well. Then, someone brought up that if the Mother of Faces did make all faces, where  genetics come into play?

I did some heavy thinking about this. One of my purposes for joining the website was to see what part genetics played in determining whether or not someone is a bender. So when this question was posed, I was like, 'I gotta get in on that'.

The Mother of Faces is Koh's mother. Avatar Roku said in ATLA that Koh was one of the oldest s…
