We've all seen the big surprise at the conclusion of The Search Part 1, but that is only the beginning. Ever since he took over as the lead comic writer of the Avatar series, Gene Yang has been bound on bringing his own vision of the series to light. He has gradually been dismantling the ending of Sozin's Comet as Bryke presented it in 2008 one peace at a time. In the beginning, he pretended to reluctantl accept Kataang and included it in The Promise, but he made it so corny that people would begin to hate it. Next he took apart Sukka and put together Zuki like puzzle pieces welded by a master puzzle maker.

You're probably scratching your head at where the revelation that Zuko is not Ozai's son fits into all this shipping. Basically, h…

Today, I'm going to complain. Just because I feel like it, honestly. I'm sick and need to do some public speaking tomorrow, so what better way (aside from various types of things underage pele shouldn't do) to chill than write a review?

I'm gonna start off by saying I hate this episode. Okay, not really. Well, kinda. Okay, basically, I love this episode, but I hate the content. There are a couple of issues that, once I noticed them, I couldn't unnotice it, so to speak, and it just kind of ruined it for me. Obviously, being the huge Toph nerd that I am, it's about her.

Okay, so the episode begins with them watching a meteor shower. Automatically, I'm annoyed. We have a blind girl, joking about her blindness (naturally), while everyone goes "oo…

Hey there, here, returning from a long, exam-related absence to review by and on behalf of the Fanon Review Squad. I feel that I should also note that my format for reviewing has been very slightly changed. Just sayin'.

Long before the Equalist Revolution, The Hundred Year War, Chin the Conqueror, or the Rise of Koh, a boy and a girl were born twins in the Northern Water Tribe. Little did their parents know that fate had played a terrible trick on them. The day the twins turn sixteen, the Order of the White Lotus confirms that both twins were born as the Avatar and that both the physical and spiritual worlds were unbalanced. Their leader, Yansu, decides that both Kembar and Kiama must master the four elements individually and then fight…

Activision may publish next Legend of Korra game.

    Why?

1.THQ went bankrupt this year, because games like Red Faction: Armageddon really failed, they had a profit decrease, and went bankrupt.

As you know,THQ had released ATLA games (they were pretty bad).

2.Activision have published some Nickelodeon games, like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

But that doesn't mean that Activision might release an ATLoK game.

Bryan can make a contract with other video-game companies, like Ubisoft or EA.

THQ made ATLA games pretty bad trough. They were badly made and featured some cut parts.

As you know, Activision published many popular game franchises, like Call of Duty, Guitar Hero, and World of Warcraft.

It would be a big success,as some Activision games get popular very …

Hi all, Kuir here with a new interview with King Bumis Heir on his fanon; Avatar: The Legacy of Rong Yan . The Legacy of Rong Yan covers the Avatar who we all saw bend lava in TLA. As such, we just have to know the story, behind the Vizier looking Avatar.

    1. Hi KBH, how are you doing?

-- I'm doing just fine, thanks for interviewing me!!

    2. So where did you get the idea to make a story about the lava Avatar (thats what I call him)?

-- Well I thought he seemed like a pretty cool character even though he got a few seconds of screen time. Plus a lot of folks are doing fanons on Yangchen, Kuruk, Kyoshi, and Roku or Avatars after Korra, so I thought why not go backwards and make fanons on a few previous Avatars. I also wanted to create story on him,…

Alright as the title suggests you can probably guess this is dealing with the attitude on the wiki itself and not about the series itself.  With that being said, let's get started.

I'm sure I am not alone in saying that the Avatar Fanbase is perhaps one of the more passionate groups of nerds today, Avatar: The Last Airbender was such an integral part in our childhood lives that it is not surprise it is held so near and dear in our hearts.   As if passions aren't high around here on a normal day the incredibly long off seasons between Book 1 and Book 2 of the Legend of Korra is leaving the fanbase a little annoyed, bitter, and irrational.  With such a passionate group converging on the wiki in the recent months tensions have been unreasona…

    A True Fire Ferret

At a Nick Animation press event, some news more news was released about various nickelodeon animated shows including The Legend of Korra.

Unfortunately, nothing much was released save for that the date was coming later this year, and an exclusive clip (I'm hoping somebody will upload it somewhere, if anybody finds it please link in the comments!)

While this isn't much news, keep in mind that the last time we got a year date it wasn't actually so far away from the actual date. Even so, "later this year" could even still refer to as late as next fall, or even winter. Still, it's nice to know it's coming this year!

    Dear Avatar Wiki,

The time has come. I apologize I haven't done this sooner, but as you may know. I have not been very active as of my birthday time (btw, thanks for the wishes) :)

I must depart from this wiki. Like many others I have been too busy to manage this website and life. My deepest apologies to all of you that of which I have made commitment to: the BSST, the Fire Sages, the Transcript Team, and the wiki itself as a rollback.

I hope to see you all sooner or later. I'll try to lurk every once in a while. Thank you for quite the fun here.

    Adios. Best wishes. Love,

    Your friend Taikai :)

    Hello everyone,

For the last month I been working on an Avatar RPG game using RPG Maker XP. If anyone has any experience or  would be interested in assisting or learning. Any help is appreciated and it actually is alot more fun than it sounds. So far Ive designed the Avatar World, and a few characters little by little its coming together, but making the towns is time consuming and requires a certain degree of creativity. Feel free to contact me for information. May the Spirits guide you :)

    God Dag Avatar Wiki!

Okay, so I'm not Swedish, but it's ByBray here, interviewing Kyoshidude about his series, My Imago.

Kyoshidude's series, My Imago, shows us the truth behind Lo and Li, and the way they have become the people they are today. From descriptive words to multiple metaphors, My Imago is a complex fanon; by that, I mean that it provokes deep thought, not that it's too much to comprehend. For being able to write so very eloquently, I applaud the author.

    Question 1:

Why did you choose My Imago as the title?

Imago means a perception of love or of a loved one that remains unchanged over time. It fits the fanon so directly, I couldn't not choose it.

    Question 2:

Lo and Li - why? Is there a reason to have chosen these less pivotal characters fo…

More good news fellas, but not for Book 2? Quite possiby, Book 3 and Book 4.

Back in October, Asami's voice actor Sychelle Gabriel tweeted that, essentially, voice acting for Book 3 was beginning. That was back in October. They've had a solid seven months to work on voice acting, but we can't know for sure that voice acting for Book 3 is done, since they're not allowed to really tweet this sort of thing.

Today, both Azula and Korra's voice actors tweeted that they're working on voice acting. So it could be safe to say that Book 3 is done (script/voice acting wise) and Book 4 could well be underway soon, which most likely means will be getting Books 3 and 4 sooner than we've had to wait for Book 2.

Either way, it's been a pretty jolly week i…

As we speak, sound effects are currently being implemented into the animation sequences for Book 2. This is known as the SPOTTING SESSION.

Let's discuss a spotting session. So, Bryke meets with the musical minds (Track Team) and they watch the show and talk about what music overall is good for Korra. Like a main theme. Then, they go scene-by-scene and see which music fits that part. Here's the catch: the composer usually watches the final cut of animation in order to understand what music should be implemented. I say usually for a reason. Sometimes, a rough cut of the animation is shown if a final cut is unavailable.

If a final cut of each episode is being shown during these spotting session, that means Book 2 is close. If a rough cut is b…

I'd say "Sad news, Wikians", but considering that that's all we've gotten so far about Book 2, I'll just stick to what I have to say.

Back ago, April Stewart said that we should be pumped up for April 2013. Again, a couple weeks ago, April said that we should STILL get excited for April 2013. But yesterday, April Stewart tweeted that the article she had read actually stated that Book 1 would premiere in April, and Ms. Stewart thought that it was Book 2. The conversation ended with April saying that she knows nothing and sometimes reads things incorrectly. Gutted, yet again.

How magnificent are we to know the danger and run into it anyway!

The Lieutenant sat there in frustration repeating something he had been saying for the last six months, “We got to get a net.”

The Equalists were so used to their agile and spinning style of fighting that a few had fallen right off the Western Air Temple’s ledge. And by few, there were two dozen. He was still questioning why they had relocated to the cliffside temple. Amon insisted that with their superior technological advantage, they would rule the skies. Obviously the boss did not consider workplace accidents.

No one even realized what had happened when the first guy went, looking all over the place led to nothing. Only when two others fell off the same ledge, did they catch…

    Nick DVD Twitter

Nick DVD has tweeted something "legendary" coming tomorrow. Could they be releasing something related to Book Two - or is it just confirmation of this piece of news that the DVD/Bluray release date for Book One of LoK has been moved to up to 9 July instead of the 16th?

Nevertheless, it's something that bears watching for tomorrow.

UPDATE, 16:35 EDT: The "tomorrow" tweet has been deleted from the account; which seems to make it more likely that this news may be nothing more than confirming the earlier DVD release date.

    Kataang

    April 17, 2013 by AvatarMJC

Hi! I'm AvatarMJC. My last blog was deleted from the admin...

So, I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO WRITE BUT I'LL WRITE ABOUT KATAANG

Aang met Katara in The Boy in the Iceberg.

As you see there's a shipping war between Kataang and Zutara. But I'd rather choose Kataang...

"It is so romantic," Jinora The Spirit of Competition

Ha! I loved it when they passionately kissed in the last part of the series.

"Sozin's Comet, Part 4: Avatar Aang"

Ba Sing Se's Sunset is known as the most beautiful sunset in the World. With the music of "Avatar's Love", I am so touched. :')

Let's just hope this blog won't be erased by the admin...

The story begins one year after—under the leadership of Amon—the Equalists' attempts to take over Republic City were thwarted by the efforts of Avatar Korra and her team of friends. In the time since, Mako and Korra have managed to keep a stable relationship in spite of some of their struggles as a couple, Bolin is making a living as a noteworthy pro-bender, Asami has rebuilt Future Industries into a reputable empire, and cocky-as-ever-Tahno still can't seem to get over himself.

Things were normal—or as normal as they could get—for the Krew, until Korra received an unusual present—and not from the person she would have suspected. Left in an angry rage for days over an unexpect…

    Why hello, fanon fans!

ByBray here, interviewing TechFilmer about his one-shot, Bolin's Lost Thoughts.

This is my first interview of a one-shot, so expect some spur of the moment questions. Regardless, back to the interview!

TechFilmer's one-shot, Bolin's Lost Thoughts, delves into the mind of Bolin: the random, loving persona we all know from The Legend of Korra. In his fanon, TechFilmer utilizes a third-person, seemingly omniscient view on Bolin's memories and future, giving the reader an insight on the back story of Bolin.

    Question 1:

A cliché question, but why did you choose Bolin's Lost Thoughts as the title?

My Meathead is a very well-written one-shot that goes deep into Toph's thoughts. We see the high and low points of her life from her own point of view. Who is Korra upset with? My guess is either her uncle, Unalaq or a Spirit. Where is she? Either the Southern Tribe, Northern Tribe or the Spirit World. (Most likely the Northern Tribe, from how the background looks)

Could Korra's uncle actually be evil and being a spiritual mentor be a cover for him? Or could a spirit have done something to make Korra…

Janet Varney apologized for the misinformation about Book 2 release and it's definitely not coming out in April. Here is the link to her podcast episode56 and she talks about Korra in the beginning of the episode.

She also has a tweet warning about misinformation...

I got so excited about April and I'm glad to know that we still should expect something great!

Hey there, here, reviewing by on behalf of the Fanon Review Squad.

This fanon focuses on a Fire Nation girl named Rokan. Having recently lost her parents and brother in a terrible fire, Rokan has taken on a cover name and personality; a cold, mysterious character who takes the name of Zoai. The Legend of Rokan begins in the outer villages of the Earth Kingdom. Rokan (under the guise of Zoai) is slowly making her way through the Kingdom, for lack of anything better to do. However, she is making enemies quickly. Little can be foreseen of her future; Rokan is hard pressed to make it through a single day without her life being threatened...

Believe it or not, I have been waiting for a review request for this fanon simply so that I would get t…

Sup, peeps! I had this done a while ago, but in all fairness, I had to pump out my JoT review. Now today, I'm interviewing on his pretty epic story, . It's a story about Tenzin and Aang, and the relationship the Father and Son have with each other as Tenzin struggles to learn airbending.

This is an original idea. It is, it really is. I've never read a story that has Tenzin unable to bend. It centres wholly and solely on their relationship, featuring other characters (such as Katara and Lin) only when absolutely necessary. This is Bray's first fanfic, and I'm excited for the next chapter, due to be released soon.

    What inspired this idea?
As a younger teenager, I didn’t have the best relationship with my father. I wanted to create a world wh…

Just a reminder about the contest, incase you don't know about.

I'd like to ask anyone who likes to draw or is a artist, to create an Avatar based character. They will be YOURS. You name them, draw them, choose their element and nation, ect. This contest ends on March 9th 2013. After that, I'll choose who's the best... There's no prizes, but you'll get the honor (hehe) of having the best character. I'll base it solely off of drawing skills, and NOT whether they have the coolest element. Everyone has a chance at winning this. So, I hope to see some cool entries!

So, todays topic is an oldie... What do you think happened to Smellerbee, Longshot, The Duke, Sneers, Pipsqueak, ect? Did they finally accept the Fire Nation, or did they cause troubl…

We've been waiting. And we've been waiting. And we've been waiting even more. Now we have the answers, we now have a realese date for Legend of Korra. It comes out in May. We don't have an exact date yet but the rumored date is the 12th. That's right UK and Ireland folks, on May 12th you will have Legend of Korra Book 1: Air air on TV! As for Book 2 Nick did say that it would come out soon after Book 1 is complete. At 1 week per episode with two two-parter episode it will take about 10 weeks to air. This averages to about the middle of August which means that a Fall release for Book 2 sounds very much real.

Frupit here, back again for a very late interview. I mean, really, really late. Thank Koh it's the holidays, huh? Today, I'm interviewing about his story, . After reading all 35 chapters, I have to say, I'm astonished. I'm astounded. I'm awestruck and dumbstruck. Seriously, if I wrote a question about everything I thought of, we would be here all day, and I'd need to put a great big "Warning: Spoilers" sign at the top. So, I've tried to keep this a reasonable length, and not give away to much. Seriously, though, with a plot as well-constructed and complex as this, it was difficult. I ended up just not trying to think of questions after chapter 12, just because I wanted to enjoy this story (plus the aforementioned spoilers). So, what is JoT? …
