Barker is an enthusiastic and somewhat goofy lieutenant to the Pirate Captain. He is skilled with a sword and small, hand-held explosives. He doesn't know the meaning of the word "curios" and refers to himself as a "high-risk trader", rather than a pirate. Barker's personality is unlike most pirates, as he saves his aggressive side for fighting, but is usually confident when talking to people, especially when he thinks he could make a sale or good deal.
Barker is seen with the pirates as they make a deal with Zuko to capture the Avatar in exchange for the waterbending scroll that was secretly stolen from the pirates by Katara. In the battle scene when the deal goes sour, Barker is seen using small marble-like weapons that explode.
Barker is seen again when the pirates make a deal with Zhao to kill Zuko in exchange for a chest of gold.
