Is this necessary?

Is this necessary? We can just add a note in the Main policy page that a user can ignore a rule if its for the betterment of the wiki. – Natsu11 · (wallNanatsu no Taizai) 15:38, July 1, 2011 (UTC)

I think it would be necessary if it was expanded. I, for one, think it should have examples. --  Sokka-spriteOlorin The White  Talk  Contribs  Friends 15:45, July 1, 2011 (UTC)
What? Can you list some? – Natsu11 · (wallNanatsu no Taizai) 15:48, July 1, 2011 (UTC)
No, I cannot, I hardly know what this means. That's why I asked for examples....--  Sokka-spriteOlorin The White  Talk  Contribs  Friends 15:48, July 1, 2011 (UTC)
I messaged 888 about this as he was the one who created this. Let's see. :) – Natsu11 · (wallNanatsu no Taizai) 15:58, July 1, 2011 (UTC)

The page was never intended to be expanded — the idea is to keep it as simple as possible. It literally means what it says, a line of policy intended to counteract users from deliberately using the bureaucracy of various rules to get their way and to encourage boldness in making changes.
