Even though this is really late, a client is a specific program on your computer to connect to an IRC network. The same way your web browser is also called a web client. - Jackiie ^(Talk) 10:57, November 30, 2011 (UTC)

That is the symbol for eight. It's the Chinese symbol anyway.
