Encouraging Activity![]

I'd like to lie and say that our group is bustling with activity, I'd like to, but I cannot. We are barely getting interview requests. I think we could do a few things to get more attention, and therefore more interviews:

 • We could do the Fanon Fact Finders: User Choice Interviews
 • We could accept a new member, although there is hardly enough interviews for two of us now, getting our name out there could be easy if we announce a candidacy.
 • We could wipe the slate for the "A fanon can only be interviewed by each member once", allowing more stories to be interviewed.
 • We could ask to take out an advertisement on certain Fanon or Fanon User Groups, and in turn host advertisements for said parties on our page.
 • We could come up with another ceremony like the User Choice Interviews
 • We could do all the above.

What do you guys think? Nozus (wallcontribs) 20:02, April 20, 2013 (UTC)

Hard to say:

 • We should put the interviews in WLS and BSST as a minimum, especially with how few have at present.
I think the Users Choice Interviews would be a great way to get the community involved, and considering one wasn't done last year, we could do it as a sort of "preparation for book two". I don't think we should add more members, as we don't have enough work for the ones we do have. I also don't think we should change the policy we only just updated so we can get more interviews - it would just be the same interviews. If you can come up with another idea, share it though! Regarding The Snowbold's idea about putting interviews in the BSST or WLS, I actually sent one off to OR for this issue, but he didn't put it in. I don't think we should rely on them, but for special interviews - I'm going to see if I can put my interview with Wordbender in there, just because its such a well-known story. Well, I'm gonna try and squeeze it into the BSST. Frui (🌹🐝🐝🐝) 21:19, April 21, 2013 (UTC)
Alrighty, I will draft up a first version page of the interviews, and you guys can tell me how you like it! --Nozus (wallcontribs) 21:25, April 21, 2013 (UTC)
On the WLS and BSST, I think it is the emailer that is not working, because OR and I have talked about the fact that I have sent emails for submissions and he doesn't get them. The Snowbold (wallcontribs) 21:55, April 21, 2013 (UTC)
I actually had drafted a sort of system that we could use for the UCA - we all suggest a story we want to interview, and then put the suggestions as a poll in one of the newsletters, and let the readers vote on who they want us to interview. Then we can all sort of read it and think of loads and loads of questions, trying to promote it. What do you guys think? Frui (🌹🐝🐝🐝) 22:04, April 21, 2013 (UTC)
@Fruipit: Alright, and than we kind of make our own newsletter issue for the interviews afterwards?
Also, when we come up with suggestions, we have to make sure authors would be down with getting interviews! Nozus (wallcontribs) 22:43, April 21, 2013 (UTC)
I think giving choice to readers would be cool. And maybe we should find out about getting interview with big fanons like SHiE and DSV, those would help. - The Snowbold (wallcontribs) 06:54, April 22, 2013 (UTC)
I agree with the newsletter edition, but I think we should only interview one author. So, I pick an author I want to interview, so does The Snowbold, Nozus, and ByBray. Then, we put the suggestions in a newsletter and let people vote for who thy want us to interview. Whichever gets the most votes is the one we interview. We all think of questions for the one author. That way we're getting the whole community involved. Frui (🌹🐝🐝🐝) 07:58, April 22, 2013 (UTC)
Sounds good to me. - The Snowbold (wallcontribs) 19:03, April 22, 2013 (UTC)
Fruipit: I meant, we have to make sure that each of our choices would accept an interview, not that we would interview each one. :D Nozus (wallcontribs) 19:07, April 22, 2013 (UTC)
Ah, okay. Well, we need no suggest them first, and then perhaps ask 'would you be up for an interview?' We would have to mention that they may not be interviewed, that its up to the voters, but I don't think anyone is going to have. A problem withit. I also think this interview should be exempt from the policies Frui (🌹🐝🐝🐝) 19:26, April 22, 2013 (UTC)
I am good with either, but we should get ByBray's opinion on this before we make a choice. - The Snowbold (wallcontribs) 19:56, April 22, 2013 (UTC)
Sorry for the lateness! I've been staying away from the wiki since finals are nearing, and I just haven't time to keep up-to-date on the smaller things. I like the idea of voting on the author/story and then making questions, and I like the entire idea of encouraging activity. I know it's a very basic opinion, but it's all I got. xD *Bray returns to his books* ByBray (Parallel Inheritance) Understandings 20:25, April 22, 2013 (UTC)

Okay, so we're in agreement - the Special Interview (I forget the name). I guess everyone should pick a fanon they wish to interview someone for, and put them here. Once everyone has put down their suggestion, I can let them know that we are having a special interview, and if they want to participate - I'll be sure to tell them, though, that its a competition between themselves, and that the readers of the BSST/WLS will be deciding who we interview. Does everyone agree with that? Frui (🌹🐝🐝🐝) 07:38, April 24, 2013 (UTC)

Zhao's fanboy chooses DSV. --Zhao's Fanboy (wallcontribs) 10:51, April 24, 2013 (UTC)
DSV? Frui (🌹🐝🐝🐝) 10:52, April 24, 2013 (UTC)
Dragons, Sieges, and Volcanos. —Preceding unsigned comment added by {} (wall • contribs) This note was added on ~~~~~.

Okay, so;
ByBray - Moon Drops
Fruipit - The Kyoshi Chronicles
The Snowbold - SHiE
Zhao's Fanboy - DSV

I can write a short thing about it for the next issue of the BSST, just to get readers ready for it, if you know what I mean. Let them ow what we're planning on doing. Frui (🌹🐝🐝🐝) 10:58, April 24, 2013 (UTC)

Zhao's Fanboy/Nozus[]

Regarding recent events, I think we should consider kicking him out. He hasn't really been displaying the sort if behaviour we want to encourage - being part of this group means being a part of a team, and he hasn't really been doing that. Also, he has been formally blocked for a yet, and so won't be able to do any of his duties for this group. Thoughts? Frui (🌹🐝🐝🐝) 22:03, April 24, 2013 (UTC)

Sorry for the hostility, but I say remove him. I think being blocked for actions such as these should remove him from the team altogether. ByBray (Parallel Inheritance) Understandings 22:24, April 24, 2013 (UTC)
I don't see how he will be able to do his duties if he is blocked. For how long is he blocked? The Snowbold (wallcontribs) 22:55, April 24, 2013 (UTC)
^ a year. ByBray (Parallel Inheritance) Understandings 22:58, April 24, 2013 (UTC)
yikes, yeah, he can't really do anything on here then. We'll just have to pick up someone else.
Considering how few requests we are actually getting, I don't think we should get a new member just yet. It not necessary, at least until the Gabon side becomes a little more active. Frui (🌹🐝🐝🐝) 00:14, April 25, 2013 (UTC)
I'm assuming Gabon is fanon, lol, so yeah, I guess you're right. - The Snowbold (wallcontribs) 01:37, April 25, 2013 (UTC)
Ah, yes sorry, that's what I meant. I was editing from my phone. Seeing as how we all agree, I'm going to go ahead and make those changes. Does anyone wanna do his interview? Frui (🌹🐝🐝🐝) 01:54, April 25, 2013 (UTC)
Has anyone read it? If not, I'll take it in a week...- The Snowbold (wallcontribs) 03:35, April 25, 2013 (UTC)
Well, I would, but I'm backed up with school and what I have on my plate as is. And thanks for editing the page. :) ByBray (Parallel Inheritance) Understandings 02:50, April 25, 2013 (UTC)
I haven't read it - I just have had so much going on. If you could take it The Snowbold (?) that would be awesome. Ps, you need to remember your sig ;) and no problem, but I haven't figured out how to remove his name from the schedule. It's confusing :S Frui (🌹🐝🐝🐝) 02:55, April 25, 2013 (UTC)
Sorry, :\  Yeah I will... - The Snowbold (wallcontribs) 03:35, April 25, 2013 (UTC)

User Interview[]

Kay, so I was chatting with Minn earlier, and we got onto the subject of the UI, and she mentioned something. She thought that it was strange that we only had three interviews to choose from, and that DSV wasn't one of them. It got me thinking - seeing as how it was Nozus's idea to do the User Interview, and he nominated before he was blocked, and his blocking had nothing to do with fanon, it would be reasonable to add it in. What do you guys think? I mean, three interviews to choose from isn't really enough, if you know what I mean. I just seems like there isn't a lot of choice - especially because all three aren't necessarily that new, and all are popular. I haven't seen a lot of DSV. What are your thoughts? Frui (🌹🐝🐝🐝) 11:54, May 20, 2013 (UTC)

hmm, I guess I agree. It is true that he wasn't blocked for the sake of fanon, so putting in his nomination wouldn't really change much. Go for it, if you'd like. :D ByBray (Parallel Inheritance) Understandings 12:01, May 20, 2013 (UTC)
I'm agreeable to that, DSV would have been the next I nominated if someone did SHiE before me. - The Snowbold (wallcontribs) 16:37, May 20, 2013 (UTC)

Main Page (Kyoshidude)[]

If you guys want, I'd be happy to fix the main ppage to account for Kyoshidude's leave of FFF and still look nice. – TechFilmer🍍

YES YES YES YES PLEASE!! Oh my god yes. Frui (🌹🐝🐝🐝) 03:13, June 19, 2013 (UTC)

New policy + interview of the year[]

Alrighty, so, this is just a short discussion to introduce two items; a new policy, and the interview of the year.

This year, I want to try something a little different; I want to put a small article in both the BSST and the WLS about it, and create a separate blog post, and basically ask people to comment what story they want to hear about from the author. The only condition is that it can't be Minnichi (due to being interview last year) and it has to be a story that is still active. We then interview the author with the most votes. I want to change it to talk about all their stories, if they have a few (like, if people want us to interview Minnichi—using her as an example because we can't—then we all read a different story of hers and ask questions based on the story, and her as a writer. Of course, this is all just a suggestion, so if anyone has a better one, go ahead ^^"

The second is that I want to implement a rule similar to the FRS's 5 one-shot policy. This is for a few reasons, though the main one really is that it's hard to get enough questions out of a one-shot. The reason the FRS enacted it was also to try and avoid getting people writing just for a review, though I don't think we have that problem ^^"

Thoughts, comments, questions, queries? Frui (🌹🐝🐝🐝) 12:01, September 5, 2014 (UTC)

The one shot policy I can fully support, it is hard to get questions out of just one one shots, it would also mean we can give them the same amount as sagas instead of being limited due to them being shorter.
As for your policy proposal, how would we all link up, like on the chat or would we just create our questions then fuse them altogether with like a heading going along the lines of "SnivyStorm's Questions"? As for making it all part of the story and no social questions, that does seem like a good idea though it may take away from making it informal and engaging so it won't feel strict. Sounds like a great idea though as it means that the people will choose it and we get a variety of readers due to posting the blog in three different areas. Lastly, do we get in a say in which one we would like to interview, or are we all interviewing the stories together if their are four or over?Snivystorm (wallcontribs) 14:37, September 5, 2014 (UTC)
So, if the users all around the wiki pick what active story they want to hear from, does that mean all the members of the FFF can't pick what story they wish to interview? Either way, I think it's great! Also, the idea of interviewing the author with not just one, but with all their stories? It seems like it could work, but there's only four of us. How would that work if they had more or less than four stories? For more than four, would we let the author pick their favorite four fanons? And for less, would more than one of us read the same fanon? Also, like you said, the story has to still be active. What if not all four stories are active or have been completed? I like the idea of interviewing a certain author for multiple works (it could show the author how much they've improved overtime as a writer), but I'm not sure how that would fully work. As for the one-shot policy, I agree that we shouldn't have a problem with that.ATLALOK (wallcontribs) 14:50, September 5, 2014 (UTC)

Resignation[]

Just a quick message to relay my intentions of resigning. I could go into detail explaining my motivations, but they're not really important. Being on the FFF has been an invaluable experience, and I've loved every minute of it. I just can't stay on here any longer in good conscience. Frui (🌹🐝🐝🐝) 01:36, February 17, 2015 (UTC)

I know this is a bit late but I wanted to say you have been a great addition to the FFF Fruipit. It's a shame to see you go but know that the FFF still lives on. I thank you on behalf of us all for your service :) Snivystorm (wallcontribs) 13:37, October 29, 2015 (UTC)

ATLALOK's absence[]

As you guys know, ATLALOK hasn't been active on the wiki for a while now so I was wondering what you guys think we should do about keeping her in the group and also the interviews they still have waiting. Our policy is that they should do one every two months but it doesn't see like that is the case right now. I was thinking to give them to you guys so you each have an interview to get started on. So what do you guys think? Snivystorm (wallcontribs) 16:54, November 1, 2015 (UTC)

Tono and I were talking about it and we decided on splitting them up. I believe Tono wanted Team Player and I don't want the polybender saga interview done anymore. That can be substituted for another one, however, Duke of  Skibbington Fanon - Wall 17:50, November 1, 2015 (UTC)
Well if you and Tono are cool with splitting them up then go for it! Do you want me to adjust the schedules or do you want to do it yourselves? Snivystorm (wallcontribs) 18:07, November 1, 2015 (UTC)
Hi! Yes, Duke and I decided to split 'em up and I would love to do Team Player. Either way is fine with me :) Tono555 Read my Fanon! 19:41, November 1, 2015 (UTC)
It's done. I mulled it over with AvatarAang7 to confirm so now it's all yours Tono :D Snivystorm (wallcontribs) 19:43, November 1, 2015 (UTC)
