It is not hard to change the colors of a template as long as you know what you are looking for. I have done it myself and it is not hard and only takes a few minutes. So the page is pointless. Scott
i did that at first but why change the colors of another infobox when all i want is colors for my infobox so I made this page and now I provide a good use for it so its not your decision to make. Lord Momo 19:09, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

Actually, it might be possible to have the user infobox without there being a template page for it. The codes work the same way in all wikia pages, so if he wants to have a template, he just needs to copy the whole code into his page, that way he gets to keep his infobox, and other members can change the colors of the infobox in their own pages, the only annoying part is that you'll have a lot of coding in the beginning of you user or talk page. Locations in Avatar
Why do you want to delete the page? It just list all the locations in avtar instead of having to go to diffrent pages to see the locations. The page is easier then all the other smaller pages, and list more then the other pages.JKH3942 04:07, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
- It is useless. As I have said on Talk:Locations in Avatar, there is a category for locations, accessible from the bottom of every location article. This suffices as a list. There is also a template. This will be deleted. The 888th Avatar - Talk 04:09, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

- It matters because we shouldn't have pages that are unneccessary. All the information on this page is repeated elsewhere. It doesn't even suffice as a general location article or a geographic article, because there is a The World of Avatar article and a Four Nations disambig page. I just uploaded an image of Aang holding the picture of a LionTurtle, which he found in Wan Shi Tong's library, in The Library episode, but it was immediately marked for 'speedy deletion'. I'm a new user, and was slightly disconcerted; did I do something wrong? I thought a visual demonstration would help with the written point, which was about foreshadowing for the season finale. No, but we do lose most of our images. And I agree, it's unfair that the Avatar Wiki policy has prevailed over Avatar Fanon policy in this image thing, when we were told we'd be able to make our own policy, that's why I'm not liking this merge. But let's not pour out our frustration on Thailog. He is just working hard to reduce images, so we can't be mad at him. However, I am a little upset that this image policy problem wasn't addressed when the merge was proposed, or it wasn't addressed openly. Vaznock - Talk 18:05, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
- @fanon editors: I foresaw this problem once the merger was proposed and I was the only one to raise the issue, eve though I'm indifferent to fanon. Our community has been trying to reduce the number of non-free images on articles for some time before the merger, and as I was aware that the fanon community used non-free images as well, I was worried that your image policy (which was using any image whenever needed) would hamper our efforts. So, I asked the question and 888 replied that images from Avatar would be used on fanon articles as long as they were already being used on a mainspace articles. And that was very public for everyone to see. Personally, I preferred that no Avatar image would be used on fanon (for several reasons), but I was willing to compromise. And assuming that the fanon community would like to be allowed to use every image they wished, 888's reply seemed like a fair and reasonable compromise for both sides. And I don't need to mention that none of you bothered to timely object. It was only one of the first posts before anyone else besides me voted. Surely you didn't miss it. Since most of you voted against at first, I assumed that the image policy was one of the reasons. However, since you later ended up supporting the merger, I assumed then that you had accepted that policy, in spite of being a departure from your own. However, now you claim that this in unfair and even unheard of. Both sites could never share the same space without stepping on each other's toes, and remember that you accepted to be gobbled up by the Avatar Wiki, and not vice versa. And I even pointed out the obvious issues that the fanon community would have to deal with after being assimilated. Image usage was one of them. Seeing as we share the same site, we can only have separate policies for separate namespaces. Files are shared by both communities, and the Avatar Wiki can't go back on their policies and goals to accommodate your wishes. I do understand your frustration, but this is why I raised all these concerns during the debate. I guess you were too quick to change your votes without weighing all the possible downsides and ramifications before the fusion. I'm sorry, but you only have yourselves to blame here. ― Thailog 19:23, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
- That still doesn't leave out the fact that this was a horrible decision to do so. Every single fanon page now has red links and a lot worse then they ever were on the wiki before the merge. Thailog, you have to understand the recent changes changes fast; to actually see any of the messages to talk pages requires someone to stay on the page for a long while; I don't usually myself. When I saw all the delete tags I assumed it was just for some other reason, but then I saw that every single image from the fanon was deleted. I myself am very upset by this and find that this has to be one of the biggest downsides to the merge which was not pressed on enough. I understand we don't want too many fairuse images, but quality is just as important and this has effectively battered our pages. I understand we were warned but I still object to this part of the merge. Nothing personal to you, Thailog, just speaking my opinion to the general public. The Flash {talk} 20:23, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
Thailog is right. We are to blame. Now, I would of liked it if 888 or Joey, instead of putting in a comment in a page filled with content that easily hid it from our eyes, put it in their original proposal instead of letting us figure it out. But honestly, we are at fault. We should of thought it all through before we supported the merge. At fellow Fanon Admins: Now, this is how I see things, if we hate the idea of living with little to no images, but we still live, I guess we can just go along with it despite frustration. But, if we just can't live with no images (I doubt I can), then I suggest we return to Avatar Fanon.
(Now my opinion) Honestly, I am pro-returning to a separate wiki. But if the image policy is changed (I find it perfectly understandable that you Avatar Wikians wouldn't want that), the sidebar is cleaned up, and some links and quotes are fixed automatically (I am going to try to finish that up in the next three days) then I'll be happy to stay, and I'm sure that's the case with some of the other fanon admins. - As I said above (I get the feeling it was skipped), policy is policy. As Thailog has stated several times, yet apparently none of you picked up on, the policy was instated based on the lack of disagreement, because nobody really saw it (I guess would be the explanation). So, if you now show disagreement, open a forum, start a vote, and change that policy. It's that simple. Policies are based off of what users want and agree to, so they can fluctuate. Simple. While it's our fault that we didn't think this through, it would of also been nice if the issue was brought up in a more noticeable matter (the top of the page in which the proposal is), and not sandwiched between a lot of text. - I made that proposal, and no-one objected, so I assumed that the reason for this lack of objection was that everyone agreed on it. However, if fanon users do want to upload images specifically for their stories, it is entirely possible for them to start a forum and make a discussion on the issue. Avatar Kyoshi airbending fan art, why is it up for deletion?
What am I missing here? That artwork is a fanon piece, I drew it myself, it contains no questionable contents and I made sure all the criteria to post things on Avatar Wiki were met. So why is it up for deletion? - [W. Jaegers]
I'm not 100% sure, I didn't put it up for deletion, but I think a full story is needed other than a discription of the picture. Q: about Winged lemur images

Firstly, I didn't delete your images. Secondly, that is reason. All the reasons mentioned on the page says "any screenshots and images whose copyrights belong to Nickolodeon or Paramount, can only be used on user pages if the image is already in use elsewhere on the wiki. In short, this means that users should not upload Avatar screenshots specifically for their user pages" That's the bottom line. Everyone, from new users to Admins are bound to that policy. While the event of poetry does exist, these World of Avatar are meant to be big, encompassing Avatar worldwide things. Unseen animals mentioned once are listed because they were referenced. Talk:Deceased
I created the page this morning -- forgot to sign it-- to talk about whether a comment that those were the characters deceased as of the end of Last Airbender and possibly adding one for Korra when the time comes. Dcasawang1 has only the cryptic comment, "This is not the right place to write that."
I guess I'm confused. Are not the Talk:<subject> pages where a discussion should take place about what should happen to a page? Should I instead just go in and make changes willy-nilly like a bull in a chinashop?

- Talk pages are the right place to write that, but the article "Deceased" doesn't exist, so there shouldn't exists a talk page for it. You should write it in the talk page of the category Category:Deceased. Dcasawang1 - Talk 23:24, November 29, 2010 (UTC)

Anti-evolution blog
This page is nothing but talk about evolution, science, and ninth grade geometry. Nothing in the page references to or mentions anything having to do with Avatar, it is just a big page of talk. I feel this is unnecessary as a page, but perhaps to ask the Anon. who created it to sign on as a user and post this as a blog instead of a page. Thoughts?

Long Feng's Bison Whistle
Why is this up for deletion? There isn't anything wrong with it, no one else as mentioned it anywhere, and BTW, I've seen some even more pointless and small pages than this so why again. Gimme a good reason. BTW (again), if this isn't important, Aang and the gang find Appa an episode early, long feng doesn't capture appa and the episode lake laogai is a piece of junk, and that episode won an emmy.-Spo55
Criticizing one of the series' great episodes won't win you any supporters, Spo. LF's bison whistle is an item that appeared for approximately one or two seconds of screen time, and as far I saw, there was no information on it in the article anyway. Srry, BTW wasn't criticizing the episode (even though now that i look at it i sounded like it), i meant that without the whistle, long feng doesn't capture appa and the gang doesn't look for him or go to lake laogai. Thus, the creators woundn't have made that episode. Also, if you think this page is up for deletion, there are page with less importance and less show time than this. As per Lovely Bones. Policy is that we document every piece of information from Nick's site. That may be a reason for why we have a page about Moon Peaches. I suggest reformatting the page Bison Whistle to be a general page about the object in general, and make two sections; one for Aang's and one for Long Feng's.

Palace Woman
This is in reference to the woman shown in the palace in the "Earth King" episode. I think that there is too little information on this article, for instance, Palace Woman isn't her confirmed name, she is seen for 2 seconds of show time, and all she does is scream "BURGLAR!" and fall on the floor. I put an expansion template on it, but there is hardly anyway it could be expanded. I suggest deletion. It could be added to the "Earth King" episode page if not already.
