Crossfire[]
Omashu Rocks's latest fanon story is brought to life through the author's unique style, time-tested creative side and of course, by the colorful narrative voice of Nalia, the protagonist of the story. It's stories like these that continue to make the fanon portal what it is today, and it's well-deserved to be featured. (And it's about time we feature something again - seriously, we've never had an FFS drought this long :/...) --AvatarRokus Ghost (Message me • Read my fanon) 06:32, December 3, 2013 (UTC)

- Support — Definitely. Crossfire is such a unique fanon, one deserving of being featured. Nalia is perhaps the most engaging, powerful first-person narrator I've seen in fanon. Omashu Rocks' writing style never ceases to impress me with its pace and intensity. Ty Nirvana 22:17, December 5, 2013 (UTC)

Excelsior (unsuccessful)[]
Possibly one of the most emotive and darkest fanons on the wiki, Sparkstoaflame reminds me of some long-lost poet searching for their true love, because the level of sophistication and depth in this recently-completed story is so outstanding one has to believe it's come from personal experience. It's so much more than a story - than words on a page. Sparkstoaflame is an up-and-coming writer, and I'm proud to say they've decided to contribute so positively to the Avatar fandom. Excelsior is the type of progressive, forward-thinking story that I feel our portal needs - she's filled the space quite well. Bravo! Frui (🌹 • 🐝 • 🐝🐝) 09:38, December 3, 2013 (UTC)

The Gunfighter[]
The Gunfighter, a story by Jacob13Kyle, is definitely deserving of Featured Fanon Series this month. The plot is unique and so far, Jacob does a pretty good job of worming his plot into the first season of the Legend of Korra. Jacob is 31 chapters into the fanon, and while I've only read five chapters, I can tell he's put a lot of work into this series. It's been running for almost a year and a half and even for it's age, Jacob's been receiving very little reception. Despite this, he's continued writing and pushing through. He really deserves this award for his story, and I encourage you all to give it a look. HenryJh 98 (Blogs • FOTH • Parallel) 22:03, January 9, 2014 (UTC)

Spirits of the Shadow (unsuccessful)[]
I would like to nominate 'Spirits Of The Shadow' for featured fanon series. It is an exciting action story that would appeal to most fans. The characters are engaging and well thought out. (Plus, on a purely selfish note, I'm hoping that a wider reader base might make them crank out the rest of the story faster! I hate cliffhangers...). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Snarky-O'Snapper (wall • contribs) 13:33, February 1, 2014 (UTC)

The Last Avatar (unsuccessful)[]
I would like to nominate "The Last Avatar" for featured Fanon series. It, although is only available in the fan-fic archive of another site, is quite the engaging read due to it's cliffhangers in chapters and surprising yet well invented twists in the story. Although still not a finished Fanon, I feel it has huge potential and is more than worthy to be a featured Fanon series. Snivystorm (wall • contribs) 15:15, February 5, 2014 (UTC)

The Kyoshi Chronicles[]
I would like to nominate 'The Kyoshi Chronicles' for Featured Fanon Series. The amount of effort Kyoshidude has put into it is admirable and the writing is eloquent. Each character is slowly building and getting deeper, which fits well with the 'Adventure' genre and the description of action is done very well. With Book 1 finished and Book 2 opening I can't wait to see where it will go.

- Support — I first read this story in preparation for an interview, and let me tell you, the plot really got to me. We know Kyoshi in the series as a tall, confident woman who would do anything to keep the world in balance. In Kyoshidude's story, we go back to when she was a teenager, unsure of herself as a bender and the Avatar. He does a wonderful job in balancing the Kyoshi we know, and the Kyoshi he has created, and I believe this fanon deserves to be featured. Frui (🌹 • 🐝 • 🐝🐝) 00:40, February 7, 2014 (UTC)
- Definitely — The nomination stole my adjective for Kyoshidude's writing style. but the word "eloquent" really is the only way to describe The Kyoshi Chronicles. The author has put in a lot of dedicated time and effort into his craft, and it shows. Ty Nirvana 00:09, February 11, 2014 (UTC)

Avatar: Neo Revolution[]
I'd like to nominate Avatar: Neo Revolution by jtwin1 for the featured fanon series. It is superbly written - it really gets into the cracks of how people act and react, and descriptions and dialogues are lovely. The story is brilliant. Not only is it original it in setting and undertaking, yet references to the canon are somehow woven in and added to the lore of his new world. Also, I STILL don't know who the Avatar is, and that makes it a real 'page-turner' for the suspense. Heh, I just love it.

Fire World (unsuccessful)[]
I nominate Fire World by LightningStrike24 for April's Featured Fanon Series. This story has a captivating quality that one doesn't find every day around the wiki, and it's also one of the most under-praised masterpieces our authors have to offer. If Aang died at Azula's hands during the takeover of Ba Sing Se, what would become of the world? This writer knows how to turn a simple twist of Avatar's canon plot into a completely original, heart-wrenching, and breathtaking tale. Anyone who doesn't give this a read is at a loss! --Minnichi 00:25, March 19, 2014 (UTC)

Excelsior (unsuccessful)[]
I think Excelsior, by Sparkstoaflame, is one of the best examples we have for a worthy candidate. The writing is gorgeous, with a poetic feel in every word; a poetic twist at every ending. It's obvious by this story that she loves writing, and that love carries through, encouraging the reader to further enjoy her style. Sparks is brilliant at showing the darker sides to characters—not necessarily angst, either. She takes a character and looks at them from all sides, not just showing the happiness or sadness that dwells within them. Her characters are human, and it's this skill, coupled with the style, that make this story worthy of being the featured fanon. Frui (🌹 • 🐝 • 🐝🐝) 00:28, April 4, 2014 (UTC)

Excelsior[]
Excelsior, by Sparkstoaflame, is one of the most heartbreakingly tragic stories to ever appear on the wiki. I've never seen such brilliant penmanship from such a new author, and to me, she is the reason why we have a fanon portal—to be able to showcase some people's absolutely amazing work. Sparks is definitely part of that group. With a skill for poetry and poetic writing, this story is one of the best on the wiki. Frui (🌹 • 🐝 • 🐝🐝) 23:53, April 30, 2014 (UTC)

The Hunt: Survivors of the Air Nomad Genocide[]
Regardless of activity, all good stories should have a chance to shine in the spotlight, and anyone who has read this one will know exactly why I'm nominating it. The story is extremely well-written, and this is once again another perfect example of an author who loves their writing (despite the 'inactive' status). The plot itself in marvellous, and coupled with the intense feels one gets even without it being completed is just awesome. Frui (🌹 • 🐝 • 🐝🐝) 06:58, June 7, 2014 (UTC)

Gods of War (unsuccessful)[]
This story of Kyoshidude's is a far cry from his other one, and yet it imbues all the skill he has become known for. With a compelling plot and fantastic description, no one can doubt for a second his ideas, or his execution. This story is definitely worthy of being featured. Fire World[]
There are very few people able to completely change the canon and still succeed with a story that isn't horribly unbelievable or OOC, and yet LightningStrike24 has done just that. With her awesome story (and one of only half a dozen to ever receive over a 9 from Minnichi), this story is rife with emotion and is, simply, just an epic tale from start to end. Frui (🌹 • 🐝 • 🐝🐝) 06:05, July 1, 2014 (UTC)
- Support — I remember when I first read Fire World, I was shocked. LightningStrike's story is a really interesting concept, with great writing. The Book of Primal Illusion (unsuccessful)[]
There are few enough ATLA-based stories on the wiki, and even less are focussed on the 'Zutara' relationship. The Book of Primal Illusion, written by Harpalyce (and illustrated by her), is a curious story that has enough imagery to last over several fics. Despite being discontinued, this story is one of the rare gems of the fanon portal that, even if you don't like the ships, you'll still love the story. Frui (🌹 • 🐝 • 🐝🐝) 06:05, July 1, 2014 (UTC)

Conspiracy[]
One of the newer fanons on the wiki, Conspiracy is an interesting, well-written story that introduces (you guess it) a conspiracy! Using the characters we know and love, Legendgrass paints an interesting and realistic picture in regards to the social and political results of claiming one of the Fire Lord's best friends is at the heart of a major plot against him. Well-thought out and well-written, this series is certainly deserving of being featured. Frui (🌹 • 🐝 • 🐝🐝) 13:55, September 1, 2014 (UTC)

Seven[]
I would like to nominate Fruipit's fanon series Seven for the featured fanon series for next month. Fruipit has proven that she is a very capable and talented author, and her series Seven is definitely proof of that as well. This unique story consists of a series of One-Shots revolving around the 'Seven Deadly Sins', and each One-Shot is about a character from Avatar overcoming or dealing with one of the deadly sins. The story manages to dive into the depths of each character, and we as readers get a glimpse into their struggles and relationships with others. Fruipit has done an excellent job in crafting this series, and it is most certainly deserving of being featured. --Bomochu (wall • fanon) 10:37, October 14, 2014 (UTC)
