  1. Support Support — TAD and her demotes are just something that this community can't live without anymore. They are incredibly funny and innovative, as she is the only on with such blog post -only natural of course, as she is and will always be the wiki's resident joker. There are so many of her demotes that deserve to be featured, but I chose this one because 1. It was extremely funny and 2. It was the demote that made me start reading all the demotes, so that is just that extra bit of value for me. so let's just get them all featured in one swipe (the idea came from Dc and an IRC convo that followed it :-) ). Her writing style and humor combine into this beauty of a blog post series that is just a must read for everyone. Lady Lostris vstf (talkHotN) 10:08, November 4, 2011 (UTC)
  2. Support Support — Need anyone say more. Taddles has brought something new, hilarious, fresh, fun, insert-positive-adjective-here, and wonderful to the wiki. Appa Sprite Rage  Of  Fluffy http://i1126.photobucket.com/albums/l605/RageOfFluffy/South_Africa.gif
  3. Support Support — I've said it before and I'll say it again: TAD's standard of writing is just consistently brilliant. The 888th Avatar (talk) 10:33, November 4, 2011 (UTC)

  9. Support Support — They make me laugh, every time. Just out of curiosity, what is the pic in the user template? It's too tiny for these old eyes to make out. DesertDog (talk) 11:55, November 4, 2011 (UTC)
It's Katara rallying the Earthbenders at the prison rig :-) Lady Lostris vstf (talkHotN) 11:58, November 4, 2011 (UTC)
  10. Support Support — Just because I'm a fan of the blogs... my only gripe with this is that it seems a tad unfair (no pun intended), since it isn't one of the blogs being nominated, but EVERY single one. Easy way to get to featured blog status. Entia non sunt multiplicanda praeter necessitatem 12:22, November 4, 2011 (UTC)
I originally nominated only the demote for 114, but then Dc said they should all be nominated and 888th agreed in IRC when we were saying that, so hence the upgrade to all the blogs. It saves us the time to vote for this over and over again as -to borrow 888th's words- "TAD's standard of writing is just consistently brilliant.", and would have been nominated anyway. Lady Lostris vstf (talkHotN) 13:48, November 4, 2011 (UTC)
So in my mind, should this entire series win, I believe it should only be considered as one blog win, and not 5+, as it would be extremely easy for one to attain featured blogger status, setting a precedent by allowing a series to be nominated and win. Entia non sunt multiplicanda praeter necessitatem 13:59, November 4, 2011 (UTC)
This will count for all the blogs, but I don't really see what's the problem here as there isn't really something to win here. As I understood it, this featured thing works like the A/B class articles, so yours can still be featured as well. Lady Lostris vstf (talkHotN) 14:03, November 4, 2011 (UTC)
That's not the point I'm trying to make here. To put it simply, if TAD's blog series wins, it would be as if 20+ blogs became featured at the same time, instead of just one. Get my drift? Entia non sunt multiplicanda praeter necessitatem 14:06, November 4, 2011 (UTC)
I could've made a long list of her blogs, true, but what's the point of making people vote 22 times i it can be done at once? They are all brilliant and very much deserving of the featured status. Glancing at the raving comments of her blogs, it was a certainty that these would all be featured, doing it like this just saved a lot of time for everyone. Lady Lostris vstf (talkHotN) 14:11, November 4, 2011 (UTC)
  11. Support Support — Oh definitely. Brilliantly thought out and written and something to add humor to your day, even when you're feeling down. The Ultimate Waterbender

  1. Support SupportBahjy1's shipping tournament began in September was officially finished two days ago, and I personally think that a competition like this that was well run and well received for almost three months deserves to be a featured post. No matter how long the blog ran, it always made it's way back to the Avatar Wiki hot spots when another round was started, and the community's ultimate ship has finally (and enjoyably) been found. 1. Support Support — Boy, that's a mouthful. Anyways, I'll make this quick. My reasons for nominating this blog are A. It is incredibly deep, well-thought out, and logical, B. It puts the touchy subject of shipping, as well as the Tokka/Sukka subject very nicely and respectfully, something that is very, very difficult, and C. In general, it meets and exceeds the four requirements. With that, I nominate this for featured blog.深层消防怪物 21:16, January 1, 2012 (UTC)

While the main idea has been discussed by other users, Azulazulazula's goes in depth and expresses (what I find to be) original ideas. 4. Support Support — That's a really good one, for a start; we should have more blog posts like this. Showing each one of ours point of view about AW hierarchy certainly would help improving it for the better. Despite, we shall not confuse hierarchy with well-earned respect, and also with over-estimated point of view opinions and prestige. Each member here should read this, at least to try to control pride and humbleness balance in between the lines of what we post around. Support

  1. Support Voltorb Supports! — I find this blog to meet all the criteria for featured blog status. It is a very thought-provoking topic, which deserves some attention. Omashu Rocks has created a blog that is well-deserving of featured status. SixMoodyDwarves Sokka Sprite Season 1 Voltorb Is Back! Sokka-wolf-c1 22:25, November 1, 2012 (UTC)
  2. Support Support — Novelty of idea - check. Clarity of expression/soundness of logic - check. Adherence to Avatar/Avatar Wiki - check. Thought provocation - check. The political nature may be controversial for some, but I don't see how that detracts from the quality of the blog. --AvatarRokus Ghost (Message meRead my fanon) Aang Cosmic Toph-DoBS-2 02:34, November 2, 2012 (UTC)
I dispute the idea that it adheres to the given standards more so than other blog posts in the previous months that were never nominated here. It seems to me that this is more about the imposition of favoured political views over true regard for quality of writing. I also believe that featuring this blog post sets an unacceptable precedent where we explicitly encourage overt politicisation. I support the idea that people should be able to post whatever they please on the wiki, but I strongly oppose encouraging practices that can only lead to further division. We should not feature overtly political blog posts, whichever side they hew to. The 888th Avatar (talk) 03:43, November 2, 2012 (UTC)
Perhaps there were posts in the previous months that fulfilled the same criteria, but I think that the reason they were never nominated here was because this page had fallen inactive in general. There could easily be posts worthy of this status that don't receive it when users are not accustoming themselves to using this page. By my interpretation, post and idea quality should be more important here than what the nature of it is. I could see myself voting to support a similar post that I completely disagree with. If we really are the civil, respectful community of users we claim to be, I see no reason to step back from these topics or refrain from giving them due credit where it is earned. --AvatarRokus Ghost (Message meRead my fanon) Aang Cosmic Toph-DoBS-2 04:30, November 2, 2012 (UTC)
Which is why I find it odd that there is a sudden motivation to nominate a post now, and one which arguably makes no leaps and bounds in the quality of expression. This is no essay. One-sentence dot points don't earn you plaudits in journalism or academic writing, and many of the similarities brought up are of the trivial rather than the meaningful kind. I don't see anything particularly hard-hitting, nor do I see any detailed and insightful analysis. It is hardly the post to start with if people want this page to be more active. I therefore find it very difficult to assume that the motivation behind nominating this post is of a non-political nature.
I stand by my position on not encouraging the overt politicisation of Avatar Wiki. I admire your idealistic view of the community being civil and respectful, but insofar as politics is concerned, past exchanges in this community on the subject often into conflict, and you should know that from experience. The 888th Avatar (talk) 04:46, November 2, 2012 (UTC)
  3. Support Support — For a generally non-political user like me, I find this blog post very thought-provoking and in no way controversial. I didn't feel any push to persuade me to adapt to any kind of view, and it was overall just an interesting read for me. I applaud OR for combining two elements in creative ways such as this, and I think that it's a good quality to be recognized in any blog. --MinnichiDai Li Sprite 22:19, November 10, 2012 (UTC)

Neutral

  1. Neutral Neutral — Really like the blog post, but as the quality... I mean, why OR doesn't rewrite the whole blog; using a long paragraph instead of one-point-sentences. Acer Evan Seek anything about fanon! Jet sprite 14:10, November 2, 2012 (UTC)

Oppose

  1. Oppose Oppose — As I've stated, OR has a view. He is free to put it on the wiki. However, I'm opposed to featuring posts that insert politicisation here in such a blatant way. The 888th Avatar (talk) 22:54, November 1, 2012 (UTC)
  2. Oppose Weak Oppose — This blog is nice; but it's not really the sort of thing that's featured. It's some similarities between one character and another, but that's not the sort of thing that gets nominated, it's just a few points. You could make similar arguments between any two things, and it doesn't really give insight into something not thought of before, nor does it give a new perspective onto the Wiki, Avatar, or the Legend of Korra. Fire Pabu Sprite Ferret 02:24, November 2, 2012 (UTC)
  3. Oppose Oppose — I like the blog, and I don't have any objections to people wanting to post their views on this wiki... Heck, I even encourage it. However, featuring it is a whole different story. Objectively, I must agree with ATFF: a few lines of comparison, with overt political references to boot, is not something that would be or could be featured material on Avatar Wiki. KettleMeetPotwall 04:10, November 2, 2012 (UTC)
  4. Oppose Oppose — There's nothing wrong with the blog in itself, the main issue I have is having it featured. Its fairly well-written but the comparisons are shallow at best (and you could really find these kind of comparisons with any of the characters if you really wanted to) and some political bias does seep through. Again, nothing particularly wrong with that, just not something that should be featured.--Lady Apsalar (wallcontribs) 00:05, November 11, 2012 (UTC)

  1. Support Support — While I have not read through the entire blog and have only skimmed through some of the theories (if the theories are as good as everyone agrees, I don't wanna see some of them being spot-on and spoiling me), this blog has all of the qualifications of a featured blog: it's plot detail is very well-crafted and it is centered around the series, plus the comments section speaks for how much is makes users of the wiki think about the upcoming book. Finally, the blog is just an interesting read for people waiting for Korra to finally air. Krazykid51 15:28, August 5, 2013 (UTC)

It's solid, and even though some fixes might be needed, I believe not every of us can write theory as solid as Corin's one, and it's really a hard effort to put a long synopsis that had been made by Corin's own to a blog post.
