I have written a few fanons in the past, and they each have gotten great, albeit minimal reviews, complimenting creativity and some writing skills. I believe that the group will help me become a more active user while also perfecting my grammar and writing skills. I am a hawk to fanon articles, keeping an eye on each page. A couple of times, I have found myself to be in the presence of low-quality articles and wish to change them, but must retreat backstage as the others take the spotlight.  Not done Sorry, but although I see a lot of edits in the fanon space, almost all of them are to your own fanon. You should spend some time helping format and clean up others' fanons before joining this group. I know how is the feel for being "low-quality author", confused. But now, I've learnt a lot of experience here, I have helped several fanons in formatting, cleanup, and grammars which I know. On Avatar Pabu's Avatar of Shadow I put in a slider gallery for his fanon. I made edits on Acer's fanon to help make the English better, so his fanon is better quality. Ever since I have joined Avatar wiki, I was almost only in the fanon section editing it and categorizing (you might see a lot of contributions to fanon in my history). I Sokka jr, humbly request membership into the Fanonbenders. I have recently become involved on the fanon portal writing my own fanon, and editing many others. I think that I would make a great edition to the group not only as a good editor, but also as an experienced coder. I have already helped out many authors make their main pages look amazing, and most of my edits are in the fanon portal. The main reason why I would like to join though, is that I love reading fanons, and I want to help make the lower quality fanons, high quality. I, Kat, peacefully request a membership in the Fanonbenders Usergroup. Almost all of my edits are in the Fanon Portral. Not only because I have my own fanon, but I also love reading others. I have helped many Wikians with linking, coding, pictures, and simple grammar editing in their fanons. I would truly love to help low-quality fanons become high-quality stories. I promise not to leave my edits to my fanon alone. Helping other users and their fanons will be my to priority in this group. I may have to warn you though. School might have an affect on my editing schedule, however for the time being I am not busy and I promise that during my studies I will try to to put in my hardest work into this when I'm free. I, IncubatedDucks, am requesting a membership position in the Fanonbenders Usergroup. Although not all of my edits are Fanon. I have and will start contributing more on the Fanon side. I do not have a fanon of my own, giving me the opportunity to edit everyone elses equally and fairly, and giving me the chance to edit it more, as I do not have a fanon of my own and I won't be using that time up. I've done plenty of canon edits, so you can get an idea of how good I am at editing. I have a very peaceful nature. Not scolding anyone or their fanons. Seeing how hard it is for some writers to write as good as a lot of authors around here, I will edit theirs like it would be my own. I will turn low quality fanon into something much bigger and better. IncubatedDucks.

I've decided to take you up on that nomination. Though I feel that I haven't finished loads of fanon-editing work, I'm currently an editor for The Chronicles of Avatar: The Freedom Fighters, Energy Saga, and The Lost Air Temple. I've made several changes in TCA:TFF and TLAT in their early chapters and am planning to continue editing Energy Saga. Other than that I kind of lecture-edit through the FRS and wrote a BSST article once (if that counts). I, Omashu Rocks, humbly apply to be a part of the Fanonbenders. A while back, Acer invited me to request membership, but I never actually did. I come here now confident that I can efficiently keep the fanon portal up to the highest standards possible and help out new/struggling authors along the way. To be honest, I care about the fanon side of the wiki a lot more than I care about the canon side, and the majority of my edits are in the fanon namespace anyway. I, Snip101, would love to be apart of the fanonbenders. I've always wanted fanon-bending status but to become a fanonbender would be just as great! I love all aspects of fanon, the writing, the creativity, and even the constructive criticism. I've wanted to be in a usergroup (it's on my profile's to-do list) and I would anything to be part of this one. I have lots of time so I would be devoted to my job and you could expect me to do my job. My skills in grammar and editing are above above par so I would be a great help in constructively editing chapters and codes for confused authors. There's also a wide group of fanons I know that need these edits. I admire your desire to help out the fanon portal, but looking through your history of contributions, I don't have any idea what the quality of your edits may be as of now. Your edits have virtually all been for your own fanon pages, and I just want to see how well you handle editing for others before considering you for this group. I see you have a potential spirit in Fanon, but you didn't show any quality edits to others' fanon, and moreover qualitive edits to the main Fanon Portal. Maybe you can seek experiences by editing others in grammar, coding, etc. and handling to edit in one, big, edit instead of quantitive edits. Weak Oppose — Godsrule, I can't thank you enough for the help so far, with the FAS reports. However, these new fanon activities are still pretty recent in your history, and I think it'd be best to wait until you've grown used to fanonbender-related editing some more before joining, even if you weren't a part of three usergroups. This was a tough thing for me to decide, but I did have to consider that your contributions to the fanon namepsace and advertising cycle have had to be corrected a few times. In addition, fanonbenders' obligations most commonly require high-quality edits related to grammar, rewording, and sometimes writing itself (such as the featured articles/series descriptions). I don't see these kinds of contributions too much in your edit history, and it's just my belief that they're important to have in order to be fit for the usergroup. So with a little more work I can see you becoming a wonderful member, but for now this is my stand on the matter. Sorry! But you're not too far off, really. --Minnichi 23:30, December 2, 2012 (UTC)

Oppose — The chief responsibility of a fanonbender is to maintain and improve the quality of fanons throughout the wiki. Simply put, I think our main job is to correct grammar. Yes, we are responsible for coding and the FAS, etc. However, something that can really turn a poor-okay fanon to something readable is an improvement in spelling and grammar. I am, unfortunately, not impressed that there is a quite noticeable grammar mistake in the first sentence of you request… but I digress. What really struck me as odd was the edits you made to the portal's main page to transition the November featured fanons to the December ones. After your edits, the link to Deck the Halls! was broken, the summary had the wrong title, and the slider image was incorrect. I cannot comfortably say that, at this time, you are ready to join the Fanonbenders. Still, I can be convinced. If you can prove in the upcoming weeks/months that you are prepared to be an effective member of the group, I may change my vote should you apply a second time. Weak Oppose — I agree with Omashu here. Coding isn't really our top priority. We go for grammar and making it look attractive to promote the standards of our wiki and draw readers in. And what he said about the grammar mistake in your application isn't very promising. Oppose — for now at least. You've been very helpful to the fanon portal in regards to formatting and other things that need to get done on a regular basis. I think that you need to spend a little more time making corrections in the writing of fanons that need it, like with spelling, grammar, sentence structure, etc. If you apply more of your time on here to this and try again in a few more weeks, I'm sure you'll be successful. Very weak support — for now. Apologize at first, for ask you to send a request; but per above, they made the point. Just like OR, I can be convinced. I guarantee you a full support if you promise me to:

1. Cleanup fanon pages solely not only change the format/template, but also typos and grammar structure
2. Learn our Fanon Policy much more and understand it
3. Be more careful in edits (don't like me! I usually publish my changes before preview it)
