The Comma Crusade is a user group dedicated to the correction of grammatical errors across Avatar Wiki. It is our belief that all articles, regardless of significance, should adhere to the rules of standard English as set forth in the official site policy. Our objective is to set articles to said standard to ensure that the high quality of Avatar Wiki is maintained.

Members Edit

Members of the Comma Crusade are to be literate in both spelling and grammar. For this reason, only competent spellers will be granted admission into the user group. The current members are as follows:

When you edit an entire article (grammar/punctuation & spelling) you may add it to the list. There must be at least 2 members of the Comma Crusade to edit (or at least check) the specific article before it is considered done, though you don't have to actually check it done. If only one member has edited it, it is marked  Not done.

After 4 months, the page needs to be rechecked, as articles are edited often, and not all edits are particularly helpful. Only one member needs to recheck it. Please update the month as well.

Rules and guidelines Edit

• This is not a social group. Those who are granted membership rights are expected to contribute to the cause. Failure to do so may result in removal.
• Members must have at least an intermediate level of understanding of the rules of grammar.
• The Comma Crusade understands if occasional errors are made; however, frequent and obviously incorrect mistakes may cause the member in question to be subject to a probation period of one week. At the end of that week, the Comma Crusade will review the user's edits and the user may be subject to another editing quiz. Persisting misbehavior may result in removal.
• Members must inform the Comma Crusade of scheduled absences over two weeks in length. If something has happened and the member is unable to do so, the member will have to present his or her case after they return. If a member is absent for over two weeks, that member will be put on probation and be subject to removal.
